About the Journal
Pulcham.Space is a digital archive and visual journal dedicated to the art and cultural heritage of Ukraine that has fallen victim to Russia’s full-scale invasion since 2022. We document the systematic looting of museums, the destruction of historic sites, libraries, churches, and the theft of thousands of artifacts — from ancient Scythian gold to works of contemporary art.
But this project is not only about loss. It is about memory, resistance, and truth. We collect testimonies, interviews with cultural workers and historians, preserved photographs, databases of stolen objects, and track their ongoing fate. The journal also features analytical pieces on the role of culture in wartime, efforts of repatriation, and the demand for international accountability.
We believe that even when art is stolen, its meaning survives. Even when walls are reduced to dust, memory stands.
